Shredded chicken slider
Easy quick Shredded Chicken Slider with yogurt sauce to satisfy your burger craving!
Ingredients:
- Pav 6 pcs
- Chicken boneless (fresh or frozen) 250 gm
- Curd or Yogurt 90 gm
- Medium sized onion (chopped) 1
- Tomato small 2
- Green chilly 1
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala 1/4 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Fresh cream (or) malai 2 tbsp
- Water (or) chicken stock 180 ml (3/4 cup)
- Vegetable Oil, divided 2 tbsp
- Handful Mint leaves
- Handful Curry leaves
- Handful Coriander leaves
Method:
- If you have fresh chicken, Clean it properly. If you have frozen chicken, defrost it to room temperature and then wash it properly
- Put the cleaned chicken in a bowl. Add ginger garlic paste and let the chicken marinate for about half hour
- Put a pan or kadhai on medium flame and add 1 tbsp oil. Add the marinated chicken and sauté it for 10-15 min. Once done, take it in a bowl and shred or pull it apart with a fork
- In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil on a medium flame. Add chopped onion and curry leaves. Sauté onion until light brown
- Blanch tomatoes, peel and puree it in a grinder to a fine paste
- Once the onion gets light brown add, all the dry spices, salt and tomato puree. Cook on the medium flame for a min
- Add the chicken stock or water and fresh cream. Mix it well
- Add the shredded chicken and cook it in the mixture for about 10 min on a low heat
- Check for the consistency of the chicken and cook it until the water reduces to a thick gravy
- Cut pav in half and toast it on a tawa
- Put some coriander leaves on the bottom half and arrange chicken on top of it. Add yogurt sauce from the top and close the top half of the pav
- Add some potato fries on the side with it (optional)
For yogurt sauce -
- In a bowl add chopped green chilly, chopped mint leaves and a big pinch of salt
- Add yogurt and mix it well
